Sooyeon

Sooyeon – Executive Director – Sooyeon has been with our daycare since 2012 and brings a wealth of experience and leadership to our centre. She has successfully completed Level 3 certification in Saskatchewan, as well as, a diploma in Craft Design from Bucheon University in Bucheon, Korea. As an educator for young children, Sooyeon believes that children learn and grow through play. Therefore, she ensures to create an environment for play that reflects children’s strengths and interests, in addition to, supporting the child’s holistic growth. Sooyeon also adds diversity in children’s play programs in the centre through STEAM activities.

Diana – Assistant Director -Diana holds a Bachelor of Secondary Education from the University of Philippines. Diana loves working with our children and seeing their infectious smiles everyday! Watching the children growth and development is important to Diana and she feels proud when she can be a part of it!

Disha – Hello! My name is Disha. I am the educator for the Pre-K and Kindergarten groups “Honey Bears and Grizzly Bears”. I hold bachelor of engineering degree from India as well as Early Childhood Education level 1 certification from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Canada. I have 7 years of experience working with children. I have decided to make early learning my life’s work because I believe a child’s education is the most valuable thing in the world, and I will make sure that each child receives the best care and love with education that they all deserve. I am very proud of my little ones every day and I am very happy to be their teacher and to be given the opportunity to watch them grow.

Pearl – I have been a Food Supervisor in Taco Time I have been in the Industry of Fast Food for almost 6 years and counting. My experience as a worker in Fast Food has made my work more easier in the kitchen to manage and improve more my skill in cooking. I’ve brought dedication and positive results to the companies I’ve worked for because I am passionate about my Job.It’s my belief that success and interests inspires me.

Hannah – Hello everyone! My name is Hannah and I’m originally from Swift Current, SK. I have always loved traveling so after graduating high school, I moved to New Zealand for a year. After that, I traveled to many other places such as Australia and Mexico; the former for employment and the latter for enjoyment. Each of these experiences will be forever treasured and I can’t wait for my next trip! I have been employed in the childcare industry for almost ten years. Throughout that time, I have worked a myriad of jobs including a nanny, camp counsellor, Sunday school teacher, and daycare operations manager. I am now working as a B& A Program Leader and I’m very excited for this next chapter. I can’t wait to get to know you and your children.

KATE

Kate – Hello everyone! I’m Kate, the teacher of the Panda group. Originally from Ukraine, I have a passion for working with children. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Ukraine and am currently ECE level 1  in Saskatchewan, where I am committed to ongoing development. I find joy in watching children explore the world and appreciate the small moments. I firmly believe that every child is unique and aim to help them realize their individuality.

Kaytlynn – Hi, I’m Kaytlynn! I work as an educator, and I absolutely love it! I have been working within the childcare industry for 7 years. Before joining the Cathedral Co-operative Day-Care family, I worked as a nanny for 5 years. I’m currently enrolled in classes through Saskatchewan Polytechnic, pursuing a certificate of achievement in Early Childhood Education. During my free time, you can often find me curled up with my cats and a good book, with my family, or caring for my plants. Watching each child under my care grow, learn, and overcome obstacles inspires every day. My main goals as an educator are to ensure the children under my care feel safe, included, supported, and loved. I cannot wait to meet your family!

Mckenna – Hi there! My name is Kenna. I am in my second year of studying Education at the University of Regina, and one day I hope to teach English and History in a high school setting. I am a Cree woman from Peepeekisis Cree Nation near Balcarres, and I am trying very hard to reconnect with my culture as are thousands of Indigenous people across the country. I cannot wait to get to know your children and show them what it means to be Treaty people.

Delphine  -Hi everyone! My name is Del and I’m the Spirit Bear group leader. I have worked with children my whole working life first as a swimming lesson instructor, then a nanny, and as an educational assistant in a grade 3/4 classroom before landing here. I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing with the goal of being a pediatric emergency nurse. In my spare time you can usually find me working in my flower beds, watching hockey, or spending time with my friends and family. I’m so excited to be working as a B&A program leader and I can’t wait to meet you and your kids!

PATRICIA

Patricia – Hello everyone! My name is Patricia and I am the cave bear group leader. I am currently studying psychology at the University of Regina. Growing up I was the first to volunteer as a babysitter, working with children has always been my passion. My time here as the cave bear leader has been nothing but positive. Building relationships, watching the children flourish and helping them along the way is what makes everyday so special. In my free time I find myself with family and friends, going on nature walks and enjoying the outdoors, and trying new foods as I am a major foodie! My time so far as the cave bear leader has been fantastic, and I am so exited to see what the future holds!
